  • Secrets to Losing Weight

    EAT FAST, GET FAT
    If you are thin, it takes up to 12 minutes or more for your brain to receive a signal your full
    If you are obese, it takes 20 minutes or more for your brain to receive a signal your full

    KEEP A FOOD JOURNAL
    If you write down your calories, you lose calories at twice the rate

    BEFORE WORKING OUT
    Drink 1oz of water per 10lbs of weight. Example : Someone who is 150lbs should drink 15oz of water before working out, without it your cells won't function properly and you will get tired a whole lot faster. Even drink water throughout your workout, it will keep you hydrated, your body won't get over heated and can keep you going.

    LISTEN TO MUSIC
    Listening to music while working out can make you workout longer and increase your intensity of your workout

    EXERCISE
    Exercising for at least one hour a week is good for your heart

    HEAVY WEIGHT
    Using heavier weights you will burn 25% more calories and will build more lean muscle mass

    WEIGHT LIFT
    Whiling weight lifting, stand on one leg, it will improve your balance and build your core muscles

    GOT MILK?
    Drink milk after a workout, it helps repair your muscles and helps replace your energy

    EGG IT
    People who started with an egg (high in protein) breakfast instead of a bagel lost 65% more weight

    TUBE GONE
    People who watch more then 2 hours of TV a day eat more calories, each hour of TV children watch they tend to eat an extra 167 calories, so imagine how many it would be for an adult, so those 2 hours of TV a day could be another 334 calories or more you eat, cutting back could save you an amazing 2,338 calories or more a week, almost an additional POUND+ just from the TV

    STAND, DON'T SIT
    Standing an extra hour or two a day can burn an additional 300 calories

    Combine ditching the tube and standing instead of sitting for those one to two hours, you could be saving yourself not only 2,338 calories but also burning an additional 2,100 calories a week

    INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGES
    Put quotes around your room, house, most importantly the kitchen to help you stay on track. Or even put old and current photos of you up, even put picture of you at your heaviest in your purse, so when your hungry or get cravings for bad foods, look at that picture, look how far you've come, do you want to go back to that? is it REALLY worth it? Save yourself. Example: "You've come too far to take orders from a cookie" "Think thin, be thin" and many many others

    Nordic Track C2000 Treadmill 17 mins 16 seconds @ 3.5mph (1 mile)
    & 25 minutes 4 seconds @ 3.6 mph (1.5 miles)


    Total = 48 minutes 50 seconds

    Total = 1 hour 10 minutes 30 seconds

    Dinner : Carrots, Green beans with potatoes and corn

  • Workout since Monday...

    Monday : Bike 14 minutes 30 seconds - Treadmill 34 minutes 19 seconds
    Tuesday : Bike 6 minutes - Treadmill 10 minutes
    Thursday : Bike 10 minutes - Treadmill 32 minutes
    Friday (so far) : Bike 11 minutes - Treadmill 30 minutes 15 seconds - AB Circle Pro - 9 minutes TOTAL = 50 minutes 15 seconds only 9  mins 45 seconds to go!

    I'm going to workout for at least 1 hour today definitely slacked on Tuesday and Wednesday

    and I need to drink lotta water : )

  • So I haven't been doing so good lately.. well I have but no at the same time. I'll eat good 80-90% of the time throughout the day, but the other 10-20% is just BAD.. And I'll still workout. It just seems like that 10-20% makes me feel like I just ruined the entire day(s) before and I feel guilty. I hate having cravings for foods, its like an addiction. But drinking and doing drugs I've never felt like I ruined "the entire day" nor have I felt "guilty" okay, maybe I have but its a different "guilty" of not wanting to get in trouble, health problems or see myself go in a negative direction to the point of going so deep into the addictions that I've lost ME. Re-reading this..
     Addiction is an addiction and you are as sick as your secrets.

    Breakfast : Meal Replacement Drink

    ((I rotated between machines so I wouldn't get bored with just doing 1 machine continuously))
    Workout : Nordic Track C2000 Treadmill for 17 mins
    ProForm WhirlWind Dual Action for 2:30 mins
    Nordic Track C2000 Treadmill for 5 mins
    ProForm WhirlWind Dual Action for 2:30 mins
    Nordic Track C2000 Treadmill for 3:30 mins

    Total of 30 minutes 30 seconds

    I definitely could have gone for longer
    -- I'm bout to eat lunch (You're suppose to eat within 30 mins after working out) --

    I'm going to workout more in a couple hours
    ..................
    Going to go tanning and do the VersaSpa
    Then get my nails done

  • I got the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred the other day
    I did level 1 after I did my other workout, and wow I could only get through the first 10 mins before I could do no more. . .And my muscles have been sore for 2 days ha
    I'm better now  : ) she kicks your butt though

    I'm about to do the ABCircle Pro a 500 count from side-to-side on
    100 count on each leg up (one at a time)
    100 count up-and-out at same time

    then I'm going to try the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred again at level 1
    I definitely don't think this video is for beginners, more like intermediate and beyond.

    Breakfast : Meal Replacement Drink
    Lunch : (after workout) 1/2 Turkey wrap and vegetables

    I need to drink lots of water  : )

    I've had people ask what the bike I workout on looks like and what the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred is. . .I took a picture of the bike and I'll put up more information about the JM30DS after I'm done making lunch.
